Bottom Fishing Charters

Catch of gray triggerfish, black sea bass, vermillion snapper, and red porgy on a Offshore Bottom Fishing Charter.

Our target species will include gray triggerfish, black sea bass, vermillion snapper, red porgy plus the possibility of barracuda, greater amberjack, almaco jack, black grouper, gag grouper, red grouper, king mackerel, dolphin, wahoo, and a variety of sharks and other fish. If our charter would like to include trolling for dolphin, tuna and wahoo we will be glad to add it at no extra cost!

We provide all top quality equipment (rods and reels etc.), bait (usually ballyhoo), and lures. You are always welcome to bring your own rod and reel and any other bait you prefer, but our bait and tackle have been time tested to maximize your day on the water. Please be sure to let us know what you are expecting from your day offshore so we can do our best to accommodate your wishes.

Plan to bring enough food and drink for your day offshore (none will be available for purchase on the Stormy Petrel II). Coolers are welcome. Also, don't forget sunglasses, sunscreen, rain gear (or extra clothes in case you get wet) and of course any needed medications. Don't let seasickness ruin your trip; take medication before the trip. Please wear soft-soled shoes on the boat. If you know that you or a family member is susceptible to motion sickness please read this important article about a great product called Relief Band.

We are open for charter most weekdays for a full day of bottom fishing charter trip! Fish cleaning is available on the premises at Hatteras Landing Marina for an additional fee or you can take your catch with you to fillet at home. Remember, you will not need to purchase additional fishing licenses because all licenses are provided by our boat.

Departure time is generally 5:30 to 6:30 AM depending on the time of year, but times can vary to accommodate your party's needs. We usually return to the dock around 4:30 PM.
